About Us
Ara Growth and Development Foundation is the proposed enabling vehicle for the actualization of a dream planted at the installation of the current Kabiyesi Alara of Ara Oba Dr Olubayo Adesola Windapo Oyelade, Abidogun 1st on January 23rd,2020.
The idea was muted under the rallying banner of “ARA on the rise again”, which is supposed to be a catalyst for the envisioned growth and development of the ancient town, in a planned and intentional manner, which will represent the trajectory for progress, based on a collective strategy approved by a wide body of stakeholders.
The take off was delayed for practical but not altruistic reasons. The vision is ripe and ready – an “all inclusive mission that will incorporate the support of every Ara son and daughter, associations, families, individuals , diasporans and well meaning friends of Ara”.
Governance & Membership
The corporate governance structure for AGDF will comprise:
1. The Board of Trustees (BOT)
with the Kabiyesi as Chair
2. The Governing Council/Executive Council
3. Management Team (full time)
headed by a professional
OUR AFFIRMED ASPIRATION
This Foundation is not in contest with nor does it seek to replicate what other organizations and interest groups are doing or seek to do for the town. At best, the initiatives will be a complementary buffer to other credible developmental goals. In essence, collaboration and partnerships will be a central strategy to achieving the goals and objectives, based on notions and principles of inclusivity.
Membership will seek to cultivate and canvass established professionals with proven and well established career paths , whose experience , reach, contact and influence can coalesce around the economic and political will to bring Ara in to the positive reckoning it deserves.
In this respect, we will seek diversity and inclusion in terms expertise, discipline, gender, track record, positive inclination , moral standing, personal equity, willing disposition and strength of character. We will seek largely, the commitment of the individual based on personal conviction who wish to PAY TO SERVE. Being indigenes of Ara is important but not the only pre-requisite. We will be happy to admit friends and family who commit to association either by marriage or other philia dedication.
Every effort will be made to protect the sanctity and objectivity from biased political or communal infractions or incursions. This is important to foster unity , understanding and oneness.
